Eyad Wohaibi, MD, FACS FASMBS

Dr. Eyad Wohaibi is the attending physician and bariatric surgeon at FOCUS Bariatrics.

His background includes over a decade in Medical Weight Loss, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Endoscopy, and Bariatric Surgery procedures such as Sleeve Gastrectomy, Revisional Bariatric Surgery, and Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass.

Prior to starting FOCUS Bariatrics his most recent prior appointment was at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo NY. Before coming to Buffalo, he was an attending surgeon and Clinical Scholar (Assistant Professor) at Central Michigan University in Saginaw MI. His clinical education experience also includes a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery/ Bariatric surgery from Albany Medical Center.

Dr. Wohaibi has dual board certifications, first by the American Board of Surgery, and the second by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

Dr. Eyad Wohaibi is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Obesity Medicine Association, and the American College of Surgeons.
